Yearbook Information
2009-2010

*Early Bird Pre-Order Yearbook forms were sent home at the end of January. These are to reserve your yearbook for $15 and are due back by February 26th to get this amazing price!!

*6th grade dedication order forms went home on February 12th. For $5 you may purchase a small square and write a dedication for your favorite 6th grader. These dedications are due back March 12th.

*March 5th, final yearbook pre-order forms go home. If you didn't take advanatge of the $15 yearbook price, you can still reserve yours for $17. These order forms are due back by April 2nd.

*March 5th, Entry forms and contest rules will be delivered to students who would like to design a cover for this year's yearbook. The student with the winning design will receive a free yearbook! All entries will appear inside the yearbook with the winner on the cover. The deadline for these entries is March 26th.
February

   +  Monday, February 15th - Tuesday, February 16th 
          No School -- Mid-Winter Break

    +    Friday, February 19th - Cha-Cha for Charity 
            7:00-8:30 PM -- Dress up in 70's disco outfits and 
            join us for a fun-filled evening!

    +    Monday, February 22nd - Track practice begins.

    +    Friday, February 26th - Yearbook Early-Bird Order 
           Forms due.

    +    Saturday, February 27th - Soos Creek Family Night 
           at the Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Game -- Our 
            phenomenal Soos Creek Choir will be singing the
            National Anthem.

March

    +   Tuesday, March 2nd - Dr. Seuss Read Across
          America Day 8:30-8:50 AM in our Soos Creek 
          library.

           5th/6th grade orchestra to perform at Kentridge 
           Orchestra Festival at 7:15 PM.

    +    Monday, March 8th - PTA Board Meeting

            Northwood 6th Grade Informational Night
            5:45-8:30 PM

    +    Wednesday, March 10th - Early Dismissal 
           at 1:18 PM

    +    Thursday, March 11th - Multicultural Dinner

    +    Friday, March 12th - 5th grade field trip to the 
           Seattle Symphony

           6th Grade Yearbook dedications due

    +    Monday, March 15th-Friday, March 19th -- Spring
           Book Fair and conference week (12:48 dismissal

SuperStar Families off to a great start!! 

This year, Mrs. Swan and Mrs. Cade implemented "SuperStar Families" into our Soos Creek community. All students are divided up into families. All students in the school have a family where they belong and will remain through their time with us at Soos Creek. Each family has students from preschool - 6th grade; all Soos Creek staff are involved in one family or another, which enables us all to get to know each other that much better. We have met three times so far - once to meet each other and play some get to know activities, then again to play "Heads-Up Seven-Up" and then again this last week to make Valentine's for some grandmas and grandpas at a local retirement home.  We look forward to the future time we get to spend in our families and to continue to build our amazing Soos Creek community.
